Our Story

Hush, a word typically used when telling someone to be quiet, to remain silent, to not speak a word.

In this generation, so many young women and men are told to hush by their families, by their friends and even themselves. Hush about their feelings, about their experiences and about what REALLY goes on in their lives. When a person is told to hush, they are basically told that whatever they desire to say cannot be shared out loud. HOLD IT INSIDE! Or perhaps they feel like they NEED to hush, they are just not able to speak.

Why?

Pride is one reason. What will people think of me after they know that I’m struggling with this, or that my family is struggling with that? What will people think after they know that I went through this, or that I used to be like that?

What Will People Think?

Fear is another reason. Fear of facing the problem, fear of what will happen after the problem is acknowledged.

So based on what is visible to the natural eye, the word “hush” tends to hold a negative connotation. But where there is evil, there is always good.

Where there is a force working against us, there is always a God fighting our battles.

We choose to look at this simple word, with its commonly used negative undertone like this;

H.U.S.H: HEAR US SPEAK HOPE.
